100 Years of Tanks Celebration in London

One hundred years ago, the first tank, the Mark I, saw its first action during the Battle of the Somme on 15 September, 1916. This particular day began a new era of mechanized warfare.

Wargaming is proud to be celebrating 100 Years of Tanks with a host of online and offline events in remembrance of the Mark I. To signify the occasion, Wargaming partnered with The Tank Museum, Bovington for a unique event at Trafalgar Square, London, that took place on 15 September.

With over 300 tanks from 26 nations, The Tank Museum boasts one of the finest and most historically significant collections of fighting armour in the world. These range from the world’s first ever tank, Little Willie, through to the British Army’s current Main Battle Tank, the Challenger 2.
