GUIDE: Crew Skills Descriptions

In the previous article we explained how crew skills work in general. This time, we will proceed with a detailed description of the bonuses offered by update 1.5. Check it out to see which skills you would like to train first!

All bonus percentages are given as if these skills were at Level 5 – the highest level of mastery. In reality, the effects of these skills will start at a lower percentage and increase as your crew gains crew XP.

Light Tank Skills


Hasty Shot.
Gives up to a 5% chance to make an accurate shot when dispersion is more than 50% higher than its minimum value. This skill is most useful for vehicles firing on the move.


Breakthrough. Increases vehicle acceleration by up to 5%, if there are at least two enemies within a 50-metre radius of your vehicle. This skill is most useful for vehicles actively engaging in offensive combat.


Soft Recoil.
Decreases dispersion after firing by up to 5%. This skill is most useful for vehicles with auto-loading weapons.

Medium Tank Skills


Rage.
 Accelerates gun reloading by up to 5% for the next shot after you have destroyed an enemy vehicle. The skill is ineffective for guns with auto-loading. It is most useful for vehicles with high damage per shot and a long reload time.


Penetration Boost.
Provides a 5% chance to score a hit with increased armour penetration.When the skill is activated, penetration is 100–125% of the value stated in its characteristics. Normally, penetration would only range from 75% to 125% of this value.


Mentor.
 
Increases crew experience earned in battle by up to 5%.


Smooth Ride.
Decreases gun dispersion by up to 5% when firing on the move. The skill is cumulative with the effects of a Vertical Stabilizer. It is most useful for vehicles that fire on the move.


Smooth Turret Traverse.
Decreases gun dispersion by 10% during turret traverse. The skill is cumulative with the effects of a Vertical Stabilizer. This skill is most useful for vehicles that fire on the move.

Heavy Tank Skills


Robustness.
 
Reduces the impact of having damaged modules by 25%.


Close Combat Master.
 
Increases turret traverse speed by up to 5% if there is an enemy within a 30-metre radius of your vehicle. This skill is most useful for heavy tanks with low turret-traverse speed.


Firefighting.
Enhances crew firefighting abilities by up to 30%. This skill is most useful for vehicles with a high chance of fire on impact.


Adrenaline Rush
.
Accelerates gun loading by up to 5% when the vehicle has less than 15% HP remaining. The skill is cumulative with the effects of a Gun Rammer. It is most useful for vehicles with thick armour and high durability.


Repairs.
Decreases repair time by up to 20% for a critically damaged module. The skill is cumulative with the effects of a Toolbox.

Tank Destroyer Skills


Sniper.
Gives up to a 5% chance that your shot is guaranteed to cause damage to the modules of an enemy vehicle if you hit them. When the skill is activated, the chance of damaging the enemy vehicle module is 100%. Normally, the chance of damage depends on the module type and ranges from 30% to 100%.


Deadly Accuracy.
Increases view range and aiming speed by up to 5% if all your allies have been destroyed.


Camouflage.
Reduces vehicle visibility by up to 15% as compared to the initial value. This skill is most useful for small, low-profile vehicles that attack from ambush situations.


Clutch Braking.
Increases vehicle traverse speed by up to 5%.


Smooth Turn.
 
Decreases gun dispersion of turning vehicle by up to 5%.

Important to Know:

  • Skill effects as indicated in this guide are at level V .
  • At level 1, the effect is only 20% of that the level V effect.
  • Consumables, such as Case of Cola, Extra Combat Rations, Chocolate, and Pudding and Tea have no impact on crew skills.
