STORE: Cromwell B

This time we have something exciting for you! Brought to the game straight from the famous British 7th Armoured Division – a British hero, a desert rat from the North African wilderness, and a well-known guest of the Military Parade. If that was not enough, it's also a movie star! Tankers, we are pleased to introduce the Cromwell Berlin!

A little bit of history

The Cromwell was developed from 1941-1942, by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company. From late 1943 through 1945, a total of 1,070 vehicles were mass-produced. Cromwells were widely used by the British Army during World War II, especially in the Northwest Europe Campaign of 1944-1945.

Now, this famous vehicle arrives in-game! Have a look below to learn more about it.

As you might have expected, the Cromwell B looks, feels and plays almost the same as its standard, fully upgraded counterpart. It has a great 75 mm gun with a high rate of fire as well as good penetration and accuracy, that allows the tank to chew its opponents up in no time.

The next great thing about the Cromwell B is its mobility. The tank features excellent manoeuvrability, acceleration and speed. The standard Cromwell’s mobility is great but in the Cromwell B’s case, it’s superb! Thus, despite being a medium tank, it feels like you are driving a fully fledged light tank. Use it to surprise your opponents and also to avoid hostile shells.

Yes, you really need to avoid enemy fire, as the tank’s armour is neither thick nor sloped. Therefore, everything that hits you is almost a guaranteed penetration unless you are lucky. Speed and manoeuvrability, as well as great gun depression, are your only forms of defence – use them wisely.

In conclusion, the Cromwell B, in line with the regular Cromwell, is one of the best flankers Tier-for-Tier in the game. Due to its great mobility and gun performance, the tank finds itself useful in many different roles: supporting, sniping, and aggressive flanking. It’s best to start a battle passively, supporting your allies from a distance and when opportunities arise, rush in, assassinating weakened and unaware opponents.

If you adore the Cromwell, you will definitely love the Cromwell B and all its Premium status benefits – it’s that simple!
