Vehicle Changes in Update 4.3

The upcoming version will bring a number of different improvements, but today we will tell you about the most important aspect in the game — vehicles. Here we have collected all changes affecting vehicles: new and existing camouflages, enrichment possibilities, and balance adjustments. What will happen and which vehicles will this affect after Update 4.3 is released? We'll tell you right now!

Camouflage

The American Tier X medium tank — M48A1 Patton — got not one, but two legendary camouflages — Beast at 2,840 and Pit Bull at 3,980. So beware of the dog!

  • Change the vehicle name in battle to M48A1 Patton Beast and M48A1 Patton Pit Bull correspondingly.
  • +3% to vehicle concealment on maps corresponding to the selected slot.
  • Camouflage resupply: 0 (for free).

Enrichment

In a word, there are as many as two pieces of good news about it.

  1. Permanent enrichment is now available for all researchable Tier V–VIII vehicles.
  2. The cost of permanent enrichment for them was reduced. The cost is different for each vehicle, but for reference you can use the following cost ranges:
    • Tier V: 3,0004,000
    • Tier VI: 4,0006,000
    • Tier VII: 9,00011,000
    • Tier VIII: 12,00015,000

Balance

 M41 Walker Bulldog

This vehicle didn’t inflict enough damage, below average for its tier. We increased the rate of fire and the accuracy for all Tier VII guns so that the Bulldog can fire and hit with a higher frequency and therefore cause more damage per battle.

  • M41 Turret
    • 76 mm Gun M32
      • The reload time was reduced from 5.95 to 5.27 seconds.
      • The dispersion at 100 meters was reduced from 0.374 to 0.355 meters.
    • 76 mm Gun T91E5
      • The shell reload time was reduced from 2.5 to 2 seconds.
      • The magazine reload time was reduced from 13.42 to 11.51 seconds.
      • The dispersion at 100 meters was reduced from 0.384 to 0.364 meters.
  • M41A1 Turret
    • 76 mm Gun M32 late
      • The reload time was reduced from 5.46 to 4.31 seconds.
      • The dispersion at 100 meters was reduced from 0.355 to 0.345 meters.

 FV4202

After the FV4202 and Centurion Mk. 7/1 got Premium shells of two types, these two British tanks started to sharply stand out against the other vehicles. The effect proved so strong that now these vehicles deal the highest average amount of damage in their tiers. However, this was not the case in version 4.1 when these two vehicles had only High-Explosive Anti-Tank Premium shells. That is why we nerfed HESH shells.

Besides this, initially (before the changes in version 4.0), the rate of fire of these vehicles was specially increased to compensate for the absence of effective Premium shells. Given all changes made, it is now high time to bring the rate of fire to the proper level in order to finally level out the difference between these two tanks and other vehicles in the game.

  • The average penetration of HESH shells was reduced from 210 to 170 mm.
  • The reload time was increased from 7.29 to 7.86 seconds.

 Centurion Mk. 7/1

The comment about the FV4202 above is also true for the Centurion Mk. 7/1, since these two tanks have the same top guns. Therefore, all changes affect both of these vehicles.

  • 105 mm gun Royal Ordnance L7A1:
    • The average penetration of HESH shells was reduced from 210 to 170 mm.
    • The reload time was increased from 9.39 to 10.07 seconds.

 IS–7

The IS-7 has the most protected sides among Tier X vehicles thanks to the different screens that almost completely cover the vehicle. A shell passing through the screens significantly loses penetration capability and meets the 100 mm armor at an angle. Thus, the tank is well protected not only from the front, but also the sides. We didn't want to deprive the IS-7 of its original pike nose. So instead, we decided to weaken the side screens.

  • The thickness of the side screens was reduced to 5 mm.

Other Changes

Based on the results of our critical damage research, the size and position of inner modules and crew members for the FV215b, IS-4, Т-62А, and "Object 140" were changed. This will result in the modules receiving less critical damage and a more comfortable gaming experience with these vehicles.

The damage models for the Marder II, Renault UE 57, T82, T40, Universal Carrier 2-pdr, and Valentine AT were improved.

  • The bug where high-explosive shells did not cause maximum damage when hitting an open cabin was fixed.
  • Transmission was separated from the engine. Now these vehicles catch fire less frequently when hit from the front.

This is not everything that version 4.3 is going to bring. Soon we will publish the release date and full list of changes, and then we will finally tell you about vehicles from a very interesting universe and the in-game event where you will be able to receive them — Macragge's Thunder.
